Not Ashamed Of The Gospel – 10 Great Christian Quotes About The Gospel

I am not Ashamed of the Gospel

I am a lover of the gospel of Christ, and I am a lover of quotes so I decided I would post some Christian quotes about the gospel.

The gospel which means good news is something that should be shared with every person of every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Unfortunately, that has not been accomplished yet and the way it has been presented at times has not come across as excellent news. However, you can change that starting today. So take a moment and meditate upon these quotes about the gospel and see if God does a work in your heart as He has done in mine.

10 Life Changing Christian Quotes About The Gospel

I hope with these quotes about the gospel by men and women of God we all will get a better understanding of what the gospel is and that it will help all of us become better communicators of the gospel of Christ.

5 Great Gospel Quotes From History

“The Gospel is open to all; the most respectable sinner has no more claim on it than the worst.” Martyn Lloyd-Jones

“By the light of nature we see God as a God above us, by the light of the law we see Him as a God against us, but by the light of the gospel we see Him as Emmanuel, God with us.” Matthew Henry

“The whole gospel is contained in Christ.” John Calvin

“There is nothing attractive about the gospel to the natural man; the only man who finds the gospel attractive is the man who is convicted of sin.” Oswald Chambers

“Never lose heart in the power of the gospel. Do not believe that there exists any man, much less any race of men, for whom the gospel is not fitted.” Charles H. Spurgeon

5 Great Contemporary Quotes About the Gospel

“I don’t preach a social gospel; I preach the Gospel, period. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is concerned for the whole person. When people were hungry, Jesus didn’t say, “Now is that political or social?” He said, “I feed you.” Because the good news to a hungry person is bread.” Desmond Tutu

“The Church cannot save, it cannot heal, it cannot baptize with the Holy Spirit, it cannot lead us into all truth. Only the Lord can do these things. When our emphasis becomes the Church more than the Lord, we have been reduced to worshipping the creation instead of the blessed Creator, and our faith has been reduced to a form of godliness which denies the very power of the gospel. We are not changed by beholding the Church; we are changed as we behold the Lord (II Corinthians 3:18).” Rick Joyner

“We tend to give an unbeliever just enough of the gospel to get him or her to pray a prayer to receive Christ. Then we immediately put the gospel on the shelf, so to speak, and go on to the duties of discipleship. The grace that brought salvation to you is the same grace that teaches or disciplines you. But you must respond on the basis of grace, not law.” Jerry Bridges

“The Cross of Christ is the heart of the Gospel. It takes the entire Bible to explain it. All our teaching must relate to that like all the spokes and rim and tires of a wheel relate to the axis. Jesus is the center, the pivot. Everything else will fit into place around Jesus. Indeed the entire word of God revolves around Him. If Christ is not the hub the wheel will wobble and break.” Reinhard Bonnke

“The gospel is for the salvation of the world, and we are sometimes in danger of locking ourselves inside the rescue-shop and plundering the stock of blessings for the sole purpose of spiritual self-gratification, while millions stream empty- handed past the closed doors into eternal darkness, hearing the joyful sounds and seeing the advertisements, but never being given a chance to test the goods.” Graham Kendrick

The Gospel Is The Power Of God To Salvation

I hope that you have enjoyed and been challenged by these great gospel quotes.
I challenge you for a moment to stop and think about if you are presenting a gospel that is indeed the gospel of Christ. Are you giving people good news or are you giving them just another form of bondage to religion?

The gospel, for me, is what I have pledged, sacrificed, and given my life for. Its message is the power of God for salvation, so I would like to encourage you if you have not given your life entirely over to the control of Christ and the spread of His gospel, that you would do so right now.

If you do not know Jesus personally, then go to Peace With God and get to know Him now and you too will be changed by the gospel of Christ.
