11 Life Changing Bible Verses About A New Beginning

Take a journey through the scriptures as you read the most life changing Bible verses I found for people who want a new beginning.

A New Beginning

The Bible is filled with references to people finding a new life and new beginning in Christ. It is my prayer that these Bible verses about a new beginning will help you start your new life in Christ.

FEATURED MEMORY VERSE:

2 Corinthians 5:17

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

This is probably the most critical scripture verse you can know and memorize concerning having a new life.

When you gave your life to Jesus, no matter if it was 33 years ago like myself or 33 minutes ago, you have become a new person. Your old life is gone.

Even if you have made mistakes in your past as I have, all we have to do is come to Jesus and ask forgiveness for those mistakes, and He will start your life anew again.

Bible Verses About Being A New Person

Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Galatians 6:15

It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.

Romans 4:17

That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.

Colossians 1:6

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

Titus 3:5

He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

Bible Verses About A New Life

Romans 5:18

Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.

1 Corinthians 15:22

Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.

2 Corinthians 5:15

He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

Colossians 2:12

For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:23

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

How To Have A New Beginning In Your Life

If there is one thing about my life that has been shown to be true is the fact that God is the God of new beginnings and second chances.

Through the things I have gone through, like divorce and broken relationships, being a pastor, leaving the pastorate, and returning to pastoral ministry, I have seen God bless new beginnings,

So this New Years I wanted to share with you some of the Bible verses that have meant a lot to me concerning starting over and walking in that second chance.

No matter where you are in life, God has a plan for your life that is better than anything you can imagine.

Now I am not talking about mansions and fancy cars, but I am talking about the type of life that when you get to the end of your days, you can say that it was an enjoyable and fulfilling life.

This plan for your life begins by meeting Jesus and making Him your personal Savior and Lord.

It then continues by following the footsteps of Jesus and modeling your life after His character and nature. When you do this, you will have the most meaningful experience that you can ever have.
